
CAI Exloo: Dutch drivers win almost all pony classes
Hoefnet CAI Exloo 2026At the international driving competition CAI Exloo, Dutch drivers dominated the pony classes, taking nearly all victories.
In the CAI3* pony single class, the win went to Desirée van Lambalgen. She delivered a strong dressage test and went on to win both the marathon and the cones, securing the overall victory. Denmark’s Karina Blaabjerg finished second, while Lotte Zaaijer claimed third place after a double clear round in the cones.

In the CAI3* pony pairs, there were only two competitors. Germany’s Louise Reinke won the dressage, but Lisa Klein Jan proved strongest in the marathon and cones, taking the overall win.
The CAI3* Four-in-Hand pony class was dominated by Marijke Hammink. She won both dressage and marathon and drove a double clear cones round, finishing with a lead of more than 25 penalty points over Joris Wouda, with Hendrik-Jan Beekhuiszen in third place.

In the horse classes, victories went to France, Germany, and Belgium. French driver Tony Ecalle won the CAI3* single horse class, with Dutch drivers Larissa Jansma and Kim de Groot finishing second and third. Germany’s Lars Schwitte won the CAI3* horse pairs, ahead of Jelmer Chardon, while Stan van Eijk completed the podium.

In the CAI3* Four-in-Hand horses, the victory went to Dries Degrieck with his new outdoor team. Anthony Horde (FRA) and Robert Wilkinson (GBR) completed the podium, while Peter de Ronde was the best-placed Dutch driver in tenth.
