One of the highlights of the 2026 season for German driving takes place on home soil, as the FEI Single Horse World Championship will be held in Munich from 3 to 6 September.

Following last weekend’s German Single Horse Championship in Schildau—the final selection event—the German Equestrian Federation has announced the long list of drivers who remain in contention to represent Germany at the championship.

The drivers currently selected for the German team are:
- Anne Unzeitig with De Niro
- Claudia Lauterbach with Verano
- Chiara Schubert with Lassila

Selected as individual competitors and reserve drivers for the team are:
- Marie Tischer with Fortino
- Martin Stötzer with Elsass and Candy Noir

The remaining nominated individual drivers are:
- Christoph Dieker with Siebenstein
- Anika Geiger with DSP Annabelle
- Jens Motteler with Calida
- Christian Prinz with Rocky Lee P
- Lars Krüger with Janina and Fenne Lilly

The German training camp will begin on 28 August in Bad Feilnbach. "Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Wendelstein mountain range, the management team—including national coach Dieter Lauterbach, team veterinarian Dr. Jörg Jähn and myself as Chef d’Équipe—is really looking forward to getting started," said Rainer Bruelheide.

The final number of German entries will not be confirmed until 5 August, when it will also become clear which drivers will ultimately compete in Munich.
