New international driving competition in Italy next year

Sport

Next year, an international driving competition will be organized in Verolanuova, Italy, for the very first time. It marks an important milestone for the venue, which has been a well-established name within the national sport for many years. In the past, several national driving competitions have already been held there, including Italian Championships. The event will take place from May 27 to 31 in Verolanuova, just over 1,000 km from the Netherlands.

The decision to organize an international competition this year is the result of years of investment. The venue has recently undergone extensive renovations and has been expanded with new sand arenas and grass arenas. In addition, the obstacles are being renewed and the facilities are being upgraded. More visual material on this will follow at a later stage.

Seven new obstacles

Verolanuova is already fully equipped as an equestrian center. The venue has approximately 240 permanent stables used during various events, as well as a private stable. The center is very active within the sport and already works closely with the national federation and the FEI.

Specifically for this international event, seven completely new obstacles have been built. The course design has been entrusted to Gabriele Panier Suffat. The ambition is to position the event immediately at FEI level and to further develop and refine it in the coming years.

The plan is for the construction and development work to be completed around February. After that, more photos will be released.
