Hans Heus Forced to Miss World Championship in Aachen Due to Injury
SportDutch Four-in-Hand driver Hans Heus will not compete at this summer’s FEI Four-in-Hand World Championship in Aachen. Heus, who was included on the championship’s nominated entry list, has been forced to withdraw after suffering multiple fractures.
“It is incredibly disappointing to miss the World Championship,” said Heus. “I was really looking forward to competing in Aachen, but my recovery has to come first.”
On Track for Qualification
For the experienced Dutch driver, the injury marks a frustrating turn in a season in which he was well on his way to qualifying for the World Championship. Instead, he will now have to watch the battle for the world title from the sidelines.
Although competing this year is no longer an option, Heus is already looking ahead with cautious optimism. “My focus is on recovering first and then looking ahead again. Perhaps the World Championship in Beekbergen will become my next goal,” he said.
