
Andrew Counsell and Krisztina Horváth candidates for FEI Driving Committee
Andrew Counsell (GBR) and Krisztina Horváth (HUN) are the two candidates for the vacant position on the FEI Driving Committee. Andrew Counsell is a member of the committee since 2023, is standing for re-election following the end of his current term. Horváth is the second candidate for the position.
Counsell is a highly respected judge and has been involved in several FEI working groups within international driving.
Horváth is also actively involved in international driving. She is involved in the organisation of numerous competitions and, as a result, has extensive contact with drivers, Organising Committees, officials and other stakeholders within the sport.

Elections for FEI President
In addition to several positions on the technical committees, the top position within the international governing body for equestrian sport is also up for election this year. The third and final term of current FEI President Ingmar De Vos (BEL) ends in 2026, meaning the FEI will have a new President for the first time since 2014.
Three candidates have been confirmed for the presidency: Mark Samuel (CAN), Sabrina Ibáñez (ESA) and Jack Huang (TPE).
The election of the new FEI President will take place on 5 December during the FEI General Assembly in Jiangyin, China. Elections for the other vacant FEI positions will also form part of the 2026 election process.
