Test Event for the FEI Pony Driving World Championship in Mørkøv-Rævebjerg Ready to Go
SportThe FEI has approved the schedule for the international driving event in Mørkøv, Denmark, which will take place from 12 to 16 August 2026. The competition will serve as an important test event ahead of the FEI Pony Driving World Championship 2027, which will be held at the same venue.
Organised by Dansk Køre Selskab, the event will welcome all horse and pony classes this year. For drivers aiming to compete at the Pony World Championship, it offers an excellent opportunity to become familiar with the venue, marathon obstacles, and facilities that will host next year’s championship competition.
Course Designer and Officials
Swiss course designer Michael Mayer, who has also been appointed to design the courses for the 2027 World Championship, will already be involved in this year’s event. In addition, several of the officials and judges appointed for the 2026 competition are expected to return as members of the official ground jury at next year’s championship.
According to the organisers, the event provides drivers, grooms, and teams with a valuable opportunity to gain experience with the venue and the conditions they can expect during the World Championship.
Entries for the international competition close on 13 July 2026.
