Dutch Team Announced for Single Horse World Championship Munich
Dutch national coach Ad Aarts has announced the Dutch squad for the FEI Single Horse World Championship, which will take place from 1 to 6 September in Munich, Germany.
Aarts has selected a team of three combinations, supported by a strong group of individual competitors. For the team competition, the national coach has deliberately opted for a strategy featuring two specialists. Under the championship format, one score per phase counts as the team’s drop score.
While this approach carries a certain amount of risk—since a weaker performance from one team member is more difficult to absorb—Aarts believes it offers the best opportunity to achieve a strong overall result in what is expected to be a highly competitive field, where the margins between competitors are often extremely small.

No reserve has yet been named for the Dutch team. For the individual entries, Christiaan Provoost with Duran-H has been selected as first reserve, while Marleen van Straten with Marvino has been named second reserve.
As part of their preparations for the World Championship, the Dutch squad will attend a final training camp on 15 and 16 August. After that, the team’s full focus will shift to Munich-Riem, where the world’s best Single Horse drivers will compete for the 2026 world titles.
