Tracy Bowman: From Para Driver to 3* Single Horse Class
Sport CAI Kronenberg 2026“I have been competing in para-driving competitions in Europe since 2018, but I wanted to see how my current level compares to single horse drivers without a disability. In para-driving, I usually only have about six competitors; now I’m competing in a large field, which I really enjoy.”
You ended up in Europe with Bram Chardon from California—how did that happen?
“In 2019, IJsbrand Chardon called me to say he had a good horse for me. It was Albrechts Hoeve’s Lars, previously driven by Francisca den Elzen. Then COVID happened, and I took the horse to California for over a year. In 2021, I returned with Lars to continue training with the Chardons.
