Nominated entries World Championship Young Driving Horses Published
The nominated entries for the FEI Driving World Championship for Young Horses in Kisbér-Aszár, Hungary, have been announced. The Netherlands has one combination on the list: Shirley Geraets-Moors and the seven-year-old Ogano have been nominated for the championship, which will take place from 17 to 20 September.
World titles will be contested in three age categories for five-, six- and seven-year-old driving horses. A total of 39 horses from eleven different countries appear on the nominated entries list. The seven-year-olds form the largest group with sixteen horses, while fourteen six-year-olds and nine five-year-olds have been nominated.
Shirley Geraets-Moors
Shirley Geraets-Moors is the only Dutch driver on the list. She has been nominated by the Netherlands with Ogano, who is registered with the FEI under number 109PC39. The combination will compete in the seven-year-old category.
Geraets-Moors will face competition from countries including Germany, Hungary, Denmark, Poland, Italy and Latvia. Host nation Hungary is strongly represented with several horses. Donáta Bányavölgyi, János Kohári, Agnes Paulovics and Dávid Posta are among the drivers nominated with a seven-year-old horse.
Karina Blaabjerg (DEN), who recently won the three-star single pony class at the World Championship test event in Mørkøv, has also been nominated. She will compete in Hungary with the seven-year-old Okidoki.
Familiar names return to Kisbér
The list includes several drivers who have previously competed at the FEI Driving World Championship for Young Horses. Weronika Kwiatek (POL), for example, has been nominated with the five-year-old Rocco and six-year-old Proud Walda. Her brother Bartlomiej Kwiatek (POL) has two seven-year-olds on the list: Eldin and Hunter.
Germany is also represented by a sizeable contingent. Marlen Fallak has even nominated horses in all three age categories: Centurio and Tesslana among the five-year-olds, Emilia R among the six-year-olds and Vittesko F among the seven-year-olds.
The FEI Driving World Championship for Young Horses will take place from 17 to 20 September 2026 in Kisbér-Aszár, Hungary. The list published at this stage consists of the nominated entries, meaning the final list of competitors may still change.
