Prins Lejeune Nominated for FEI Rising Star Award 2026

Sport

Fifteen-year-old Belgian driver Prins Lejeune has been nominated for the Longines FEI Rising Star Award 2026. With this award, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) recognises young talents who have distinguished themselves at international level. Public voting opens today, 21 October.

Prins Lejeune is one of five nominees for the Longines FEI Rising Star Award. Alongside the Belgian driver, the other nominees are Lukas Heitmann (Germany, Vaulting), Teresa Leowald (Germany, Eventing), Greta Lepratti (Italy, Jumping) and Jiayi ‘Dina’ Yu (China, Dressage).

Four Categories

The FEI Awards are presented annually to athletes and individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to equestrian sport. This year, there are seventeen nominees across four categories: Peden Bloodstock FEI Best Athlete, Longines FEI Rising Star, Cavalor FEI Best Groom and FEI Inspire Award.

Prins Lejeune is the only representative from the driving discipline among this year’s nominees. In August, he became European Junior Champion in the Single Horse class at the FEI European Youth Driving Championships in Osorhei, Romania.

Voting Open Until 1 November

The public can vote for their favourites from 21 October up to and including 1 November 2026. Votes can be cast via the official FEI website: www.fei.org/awards.

The winners will be announced on Saturday, 5 December, during the FEI Awards Gala, which will take place in Jiangyin, China.
